TrustSmart AI is a product of SmartLife AU, an Australian sole trader business with ABN 26 103 403 893 and ASIC-registered business name, based in Australia. SmartLife AU is registered for GST.
TrustSmart AI is an AI-powered content genuineness checker designed for Australian consumers. It allows users to submit text, URLs, images, and screenshots for analysis against Australian sources.
By accessing or using TrustSmart AI (available at trustsmartai.com.au or any associated subdomain), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use TrustSmart AI.
These terms apply to all users of TrustSmart AI, whether using as a guest, free account holder, or Pro subscriber.
TrustSmart AI provides AI-powered content analysis that generates a genuineness score, identifies claims, references Australian sources, and provides a plain-English summary.
The service is available on the following plans:
We reserve the right to change plan limits or pricing with reasonable notice to users.
User accounts are managed via Clerk, our third-party authentication provider. You may create an account using your email address or a Google account.
You are responsible for:
You must not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.
TrustSmart AI Pro is $7.99 AUD per month, GST inclusive. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. SmartLife AU does not store your payment card details.
By subscribing to TrustSmart AI Pro, you agree to the following billing terms:
GST: All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 10%. SmartLife AU (ABN 26 103 403 893) is registered for GST. The GST component of the $7.99 monthly fee is approximately $0.73.
Tax invoices: A GST tax invoice is automatically issued by Stripe on behalf of SmartLife AU for each billing cycle and sent to your billing email address. Tax invoices are also accessible via your Stripe customer portal.
Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

Refunds: We generally do not offer refunds for subscription fees already charged, except where required by Australian Consumer Law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund under Australian Consumer Law, please contact us and we will assess your request.
Accidental charges: If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days at hello@smartlifeau.com.au and we will review your case promptly.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by this refund policy. See Section 14 for more information.
You may use TrustSmart AI for lawful personal or professional purposes, including:
You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not violate the rights of third parties, including privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or any applicable laws.
You must not use TrustSmart AI to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who violates these prohibitions without refund.
Important: TrustSmart AI results are generated by an AI model. They are provided for informational purposes only and must not be relied upon as professional fact-checking, legal advice, journalistic verification, or any certified form of analysis.
AI-generated genuineness scores, verdicts, claim assessments, and source references may be incomplete, incorrect, based on outdated information, or unable to verify very recent events.
Always independently verify important information through authoritative sources such as official government websites (.gov.au), established news organisations, or qualified professionals.
SmartLife AU accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, or harm arising from reliance on TrustSmart AI analysis results.
All intellectual property in TrustSmart AI — including but not limited to the application design, interface, branding, code, and written content — is owned by SmartLife AU or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of TrustSmart AI without our prior written consent.
The SmartLife AU name, TrustSmart AI name, and associated logos are trading names and branding of SmartLife AU. Unauthorised use is prohibited.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to TrustSmart AI. By submitting content, you grant SmartLife AU a limited, transient licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the analysis service.
Submitted content is not stored by SmartLife AU after your check is complete, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You warrant that you have the right to submit the content you provide, that your submission does not violate the rights of any third party, and that your submission complies with these Terms of Service and all applicable Australian laws.
TrustSmart AI relies on the following third-party services:
SmartLife AU is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these third-party services. Use of TrustSmart AI is also subject to Anthropic's usage policies and Stripe's terms of service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartLife AU and its operator shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of TrustSmart AI shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a remedy if the service fails to meet a consumer guarantee. For paid subscriptions, our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the price paid for the affected period, at our discretion.
For free accounts and guest usage, where the service is provided at no charge, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having the service supplied again, at our discretion.
TrustSmart AI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service.
We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time. In the event of a planned discontinuation affecting Pro subscribers, we will provide reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund for any unused subscription period.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
For material changes affecting Pro subscribers — including pricing changes — we will provide at least 30 days notice via email to your registered billing address before the changes take effect.
Continued use of TrustSmart AI after changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Federal Court of Australia for any dispute arising from these terms or your use of TrustSmart AI.
